Rovere reserves the right, at its discretion, to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders. If we cancel an order, no charge will be made to you.
5. Privacy
Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how Rovere collects, uses and protects your personal data.
6. The Contract Between Us
We must receive payment in full for the goods you order before your order can be processed.
Once payment has been received, we will confirm by email that the goods you have ordered are available. We will then dispatch the goods to the delivery address provided with your order.
If the goods you order are unavailable, we will notify you by email and arrange for your payment to be refunded within seven days.
7. Price
The price payable for the goods you order will be as stated on the Rovere website at the time you place your order.
Delivery charges may apply, and it may not be possible for us to deliver to certain locations. Our delivery charges and any delivery restrictions are set out in our Delivery Policy.
We reserve the right to cancel an order where there has been a technical error, typographical error, incorrect pricing, or any other error affecting the order.
8. Your Right to Cancel
8.1 Cancelling Your Order
To cancel an order, please contact our Customer Services Team in writing by email at customercare@rovere.co.uk or by telephone. You do not need to give a reason for cancelling, although feedback is always welcome.
Where you cancel an order, any refund due will be processed once the goods have been returned to our warehouse and inspected. Unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. If you would like us to arrange the return, we may be able to do so; the collection and return costs will be deducted from your refund.
8.2 Orders Already Dispatched
If you cancel after your order has been dispatched but before it has been delivered, you must accept delivery and arrange for the goods to be returned to us.
If you refuse delivery, we will process your refund after the goods have been returned to our warehouse in their original condition. The cost of return delivery and any necessary repackaging will be deducted from the refund. We do not cover return or repackaging costs unless required by law.
8.3 Returns & Refunds
Please read our Returns & Refund Policy for full details of the return process, eligibility requirements and applicable charges.
8.4 Goods Already Delivered
If you have received the goods before cancelling your contract, please contact us to arrange a return or collection. Goods must be kept in the condition in which they were delivered until they are returned or collected.
8.5 Refunds
Once you have notified us of your cancellation, any refund due will be processed as soon as reasonably possible and, where applicable, within 30 days of your cancellation notice. Refunds are subject to the goods being returned or collected in the condition in which they were delivered.
We may deduct collection, recovery, return and repackaging costs from the amount refunded.
9. Cancellation by Us
9.1 When We May Cancel
We may cancel the contract between us if:
- We do not have sufficient stock to fulfil your order.
- We are unable to deliver to your address or area.
- A product in your order has been listed at an incorrect price due to a technical, typographical or pricing error, including an error in information supplied by one of our suppliers.
9.2 What Happens If We Cancel
If we cancel your order, we will notify you by email or another appropriate method as soon as reasonably possible. We will refund any payment received for the cancelled order as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days.
We will not be liable for any additional compensation or for any disappointment suffered resulting from the cancellation, except where required by law.
10. Delivery of Goods
10.1 Delivery Dates and Responsibility
Delivery dates are provided in good faith and are estimates only. As deliveries are carried out by third-party couriers, unforeseen delays may occasionally occur.
Please do not book installers, tradespeople or other services until the goods have been delivered, signed for and fully inspected. To the extent permitted by law, Rovere is not responsible for financial losses from the buyer, arising from a delayed, failed or incorrect delivery. Risk in the goods passes to the buyer when they are delivered.
10.2 Delivery Delays
Delivery times are not guaranteed. Rovere will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control as mentioned in clause 15.
10.3 Delivery Method
Most deliveries are made by third-party courier on a kerbside or roadside basis. Unless agreed with us in writing before you place your order, drivers are not required to enter your property or move goods beyond the nearest safe and accessible delivery point.
Standard deliveries are generally made between 7:00am and 6:00pm. Obstructions or unsuitable surfaces – including steps, lifts, grass, gravel, uneven paths or uneven driveways – may mean the goods must be unloaded at an alternative safe location near the delivery vehicle.
10.4 Access Requirements
Standard deliveries are usually made using an 18-tonne vehicle, comparable in size to, or slightly larger than, a refuse vehicle. Before placing your order, you must tell us about any circumstances that could affect access to your address.
This may include parking restrictions, red routes, narrow roads, roadworks, height or width restrictions, overhanging trees, uneven or gravel driveways, and high-rise or restricted-access properties.
If you do not provide this information before delivery, additional delivery, return or redelivery costs may apply, and delivery may be delayed.
10.5 Specialist Vehicles
If you notify us in advance that a smaller or specialist vehicle is required, we will assess the available options. Any additional costs associated with the alternative delivery service may be charged to you.
10.6 Acceptance and Redelivery
You, or an authorised representative, must be available to accept and sign for the goods at the delivery point. If goods are delivered without a signature, you remain responsible for checking them promptly.
If delivery cannot be completed because no one is available, access is unsuitable, or relevant delivery information was not provided in advance, we may charge the reasonable costs of redelivery before rearranging delivery.
10.7 Inspection Before Installation
Before starting any work, you must check that the goods supplied match your order and are suitable for your intended use. Unpack and inspect all items as soon as possible for damage, shade variation, size discrepancies or any other concerns.
If you identify an issue, contact us promptly at sales@rovere.co.uk. Where an order is delivered in stages, we recommend that you do not install any tiles or products until the complete order has arrived and has been inspected.
11. Product Quality
11.1 Photographs and Screen Display
Photographs on our website are provided as a guide to product appearance only. Lighting conditions, screen calibration and natural variation between batches mean the actual product may look slightly different from the images shown.
11.2 Natural and Manufacturing Variation
Natural stone products vary in colour and texture and contain individual markings and natural imperfections, including mineral deposits that may change over time and appear as copper, bronze or black colouration, or quartzite veining. Reconstituted, man-made products such as porcelain contain natural aggregates and can also vary in colour and texture between batches.
Tile names, images and sizes shown on the website are nominal and are only a guide to the actual style, colour and size of a tile; variations in texture, shade and size from what is advertised can occur.
Porcelain tiles may also show calibre variation of up to 5mm between production batches, meaning a tile of the same nominal size can measure slightly differently from one batch to the next – for example, a 900x600mm tile may measure 895x595mm in one batch and 899x599mm, or exactly 900x600mm, in another. This is normal manufacturing variation, distinct from the size tolerance within a single batch, and is why we recommend ordering all the tiles needed for a project at the same time to avoid mixing different calibres.
11.3 Finish and Surface Characteristics
Sawn-edged or machine-finished flags may include minor variances and irregularities, and the surface of hand-cut paving may delaminate slightly. These are normal characteristics of the finish rather than defects.
11.4 Efflorescence
Efflorescence, the white markings that can appear on the surface of concrete paving, is caused by a natural chemical reaction between cement and water. It will typically fade gradually with weathering and is actually a sign of good-quality paving with a high cement content, rather than a fault.
11.5 Construction and Cutting
Unless stated otherwise, buildings and timber items require construction on site and will often need minor cutting to complete the installation. Appropriate tools should be used for this work.
11.6 Mixing Packs and Batches
Because products can vary slightly between packs and batches, tiles or paving should be mixed from multiple packs during installation to achieve a blended, even appearance. Rovere is not liable for labour costs, consequential loss or compensation arising from a failure to do this.
11.7 Pre-Installation Checks
Every individual tile or item should be checked for damage or defects before use. Rovere is not responsible for goods that have been compromised once they have gone through the installation process.
Where the law allows, liability for a faulty product is limited to a replacement or a refund at cost, and excludes consequential losses such as removal and re-fixing costs. Any defect must be reported within 30 days of delivery.
11.8 Weathering and Maintenance
Many products will change appearance over time, typically through gradual fading (mainly on man-made paving) or lichen and organic growth in certain environmental conditions. Areas near trees or planting borders are more prone to discolouration and may need regular cleaning.
Sealing can help reduce this effect, though manufacturer guidance should be checked before applying any sealant. Most products benefit from annual maintenance, and only cleaning or maintenance products suitable for the specific material should be used.
11.9 Intended Use
Unless otherwise specified, products are intended for exterior use on pathways, driveways, patios and garden applications. Driveway paving is designed for lightly trafficked vehicular areas rather than heavy or continuous vehicle weight.
11.10 Samples
Samples are provided solely to give an indication of the product's style and are not a guarantee of exact colour, texture or batch consistency.
11.11 Product Improvements
As manufacturers maintain an ongoing policy of product improvement, Rovere reserves the right to alter or change product specifications without prior notice.
11.12 Complaints
All complaints must be submitted in writing, and will be handled in accordance with your legal rights.
12. Liability
12.1 Problems With Your Order
If goods are not as ordered, are delivered in the wrong quantity, or arrive damaged or defective, please notify us in writing within three days of delivery. This allows us to investigate promptly and arrange an appropriate resolution. We shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 3 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.
12.2 Non-Delivery and Available Remedies
If your goods have not arrived within 30 days of placing your order, please notify us in writing within 40 days of the order date. Where a valid issue is reported, we may, as appropriate:
- Make good any shortage or non-delivery
- Replace or repair damaged or defective goods; or
- Refund the amount paid for the affected goods
12.3 Exclusion of Indirect Losses
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under the clause above.
12.4 Your Statutory Rights
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable UK law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
13. Area Calculation
Product coverage figures and pack areas are provided as a guide only. Full-pack coverage may be rounded up, and product dimensions shown on the website allow for jointing.
You are responsible for checking all measurements and confirming that you have ordered the correct quantity for your project before placing your order. We cannot accept responsibility for under-ordering or over-ordering.
14. Notices
Unless these terms state otherwise, any notice you send to us must be in writing and sent to our contact address at M/s. Royale Stones Ltd, Plot-3 George Street, Great Northern Terrace, Lincoln LN5 8LG United Kingdom and all notices from us to you will be displayed on our website from time to time.
15. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.
